  This was the first time I used Laurel House Antiques to sell items. I have been clearing out a large number of items from my mothers estate. The experience started off very well, with the head of the store jackie going above and beyond to come to my residence and help me select items that she believed would sell. I was able to bring more items then they usually allow in for consignment and each lady who helped me was knowledgable and polite while helping me price and sort items. The problems occurred to the end of my 5 months.
  1. An item was sold for a lesser value then marked. When asked why, I was informed that they had tried to contact me, but in the end decided that I would want it sold so took the lower amount. I never received a phone message, text or email regarding the item, so their attempts at contacting me were not very good.
  2. When I went to collect the items that were not sold before the 6 months mark, 2 items had gone missing. After going back 3 times, they have not been located and I am left with no answers, explanations or compensation.
  It was a great experience turned sour by their lack of personal concern for what were still technically my possessions.
